Engineering Planner

 

Position Summary

 

Key objectives will be achieving/improving/exceeding targeted customer service levels, managing program schedules and staffing, coordinating program transitions from Engineering to Production with the Production Planner. Excellent organizational skills, ability to balance short term priorities and exceptional information analysis skills are a necessity.

 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Plan and manage MS Project schedules for all programs
  • Report overall staff loading forecast to Executive Mgmt.
  • Set up, maintain and report job cost data, including Cost-to-Complete to Executive Mgmt.
  • Coordinate appropriate process and implementation of all activities above within Epicore ERP.
  • Build strategic schedule and forecast for all proposals
  • Provide “What-if” analysis of staff and cash flow loading for potential new incremental business
  • Using Epicore
  • Partner with Operations Planner to provide overall program performance forecast (Manpower, Margin, and Schedule)

 

Qualifications/Required Skills

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Engineering
  • Due to the nature of our Defense Contracts this position is required to be filled by a US Citizen or permanent resident. Past DoD security clearance a plus.
  • Fluent in speaking, reading and writing English
  • Comprehensive understanding of MS Office, MS Project Certification preferred.
  • Assertive communication skills

  • Excellent oral and written communication
  • Ability to work well within a team
